What to Expect
Welcome & Arriving
We will begin by taking a moment to slow down, settle into the space and leave the busyness of everyday life at the door. This is your time to pause, breathe and simply be.
Listen
Body Scan & Learning to Listen
"Your body is always communicating. Today we'll begin learning its language."
Before we explore the science, we will spend a few minutes turning our attention inward. Through a gentle guided body scan, you will be introduced to interoception. This is your ability to notice and interpret the internal signals your body is constantly sending. We will explore sensations with curiosity rather than judgement, learning to recognise messages such as tension, ease, hunger, fullness, fatigue or calm.
Many of us have become disconnected from these signals through busy lives, chronic stress or simply putting everyone else's needs before our own. This practice is an opportunity to reconnect. You won't be trying to change anything, you will simply begin listening. This experience becomes the foundation for everything else we will explore during the afternoon.
Understand
Understanding Your Body's Messages
Once we have experienced listening to the body, we will explore what those messages may be telling us. In our Health Talk, you will discover:
how your digestive system really works
why stress has such a profound effect on digestion
the remarkable connection between your gut, brain and nervous system
why symptoms such as bloating, IBS, reflux, constipation, diarrhoea and fatigue are often signs that your body needs support rather than something to simply suppress.

Understanding is only the beginning. In the Health Talk, we will explore practical strategies that help restore balance and support your body's natural ability to heal. You will learn simple approaches to nutrition, lifestyle, stress management and daily habits that you can take away with you to help support your digestive health, regulate your nervous system and build resilience. These are realistic, sustainable changes that fit into everyday life.

Breath, Movement & Deep Rest
Knowledge is powerful, but experiencing what regulation feels like is transformational. During the afternoon you will experience gentle breath work, mindful movement and a deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra practice. These practices are designed to help move your nervous system from survival mode into rest and repair while deepening your interoceptive awareness, your ability to notice and respond to your body's internal signals with compassion rather than criticism. As your body settles, you will experience another opportunity to listen inward, strengthening the connection between your mind and body.
You will leave not only understanding why these practices work, but knowing how they feel in your own body.
